Call 719-845-1127 to schedule a trip. Please reserve your trip at least 24 hours in advance.

The South Central Council of Governments (SCCOG) provides demand-response transit service in southern Colorado's Huerfano and Las Animas counties.  Transportation is also available three days a week to Pueblo, Colorado and to Raton, NM when requested.

To request a ride, please call the RIDELINE during the following hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM at 719-845-1127. Please call at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a trip. Be prepared to board the bus 15 minutes ahead or after the scheduled pickup time.  Drivers will wait no more than 5 minutes for a passenger to board. If you need a return ride, please schedule that at the same time as when you schedule the first trip.

When calling to schedule a trip, please have the following information available:
  • Date and time of requested trip
  • Name of passenger(s)
  • Pick-up address
  • Drop-off address
  • Anticipated time of return (if not specified, return service is not guaranteed)
  • Any mobility aids or restrictions (wheelchair, walker, cane, service animal, personal care attendant, oxygen, etc.)
  • Please specify if passenger will be traveling with a care attendant (PCA)
  • Any billing information (Medicaid covered medical ride, etc.)
Fares:
  • Demand Response: One-way COG Transit is $2.00 within town (Walsenburg and Trinidad). 
  • One Way Fare to Pueblo: from Trinidad $9.00, from Walsenburg $7.00.
  • Aguilar to Pueblo: $8 one-way
  • Trinidad to Aguilar: $3 one-way
  • Trinidad to Hoehne or up Highway 12: $3 one-way
  • Trinidad to Walsenburg: $4 one-way
  • Trinidad to Raton: $7 one-way
  • Trinidad to LaVeta or Gardner: $7 one-way
  • Walsenburg to Gardner or LaVeta: $3 one-way
  • Medicaid is accepted for those who qualify.
  • Two (2) children 5 years of age and under ride for free per adult. 
  • Please have your fare ready when boarding. 
  • The fare is required at time of service.
  • COG Transit offers tickets that can be purchased from the office or your driver.
